Create compelling content for users in the DACH region.
We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Content Specialist to help grow our services in the DACH markets (Germany, Austria & Switzerland). This is an exciting opportunity to create meaningful content, optimise digital experiences, and grow with a dynamic company.
About Nettbureau
At Nettbureau, you'll enjoy flexible work days in a flat yet efficient organisation. Your closest colleagues will be our small DACH team, but you’ll also be part of a larger, international content team working across multiple countries.
Our company is a Norwegian scaleup with over a decade of experience building niche online marketplaces. Each year, we help millions of users make smart choices through our comparison services, connecting them with trusted products and service providers. We operate over 100 services across 11 countries, including Wärmepumpevergleich.at in Austria, Breitband.de in Germany and Pvanlage.ch in the German part of Switzerland.
At Nettbureau, we're a team of more than 70 colleagues, with around 50 based in Oslo. We hire people for their skills rather than their degrees, creating a diverse mix of historians, literature scholars, medical doctors, engineers and marketers. We’ve also balanced rapid growth with profitability, earning recognition as one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies by the Financial Times and as a “Gaselle” company in Norway for ten consecutive years.
We value a friendly, social work culture – whether you enjoy team-building events, book clubs, chess matches, or after-work gatherings, you’ll find plenty of ways to connect. And if you prefer to keep it low-key? No worries – many of us do too.

About the DACH team
We have been operating in the DACH region since 2021, focusing on the renewable energy, property, and telecommunications sectors. Our services are available across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with Austria currently being our strongest market.
As a Content Specialist, you’ll be a key player in shaping and growing our services in the DACH region. You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the team, especially with our Marketing and Content Manager DACH, to strengthen existing brands and support new launches across all three markets.
About the Role
This role offers a mix of creativity and strategy, with plenty of opportunities to expand your skills in SEO, digital marketing, content performance analysis, and user engagement. As part of our international content team, you’ll learn from best practices in countries like Norway, Sweden, Spain, and Italy – while ensuring all content is tailored to local audiences in the DACH markets.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, write and publish high-quality, SEO-optimised content, including articles, landing pages, and user-friendly forms, designed for user engagement and conversion.
- Ensure all content reflects local language nuances and cultural norms in all three markets.
- Conduct keyword research to identify new content opportunities.
- Create compelling content for emails, newsletters, and marketing materials to support brand growth.
- Provide quality assurance for all published content.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to optimise content for engagement and conversions.

What We Offer
✅ Professional growth & flexibility
- Opportunities to grow your expertise across a wide range of fields like content, SEO, digital marketing, project management and more.
- NOK 10,000/year for personal development and training.
- Flexible working hours at our Tøyen office in Oslo or Södermalm office in Stockholm, with a fully remote position potentially possible for the right candidate.
- The choice between Mac or PC, plus coverage of your internet and phone expenses.
✅ A great work culture
- A safe and supportive work environment with ambitious and social colleagues.
- A friendly, inclusive environment with optional activities like book and cinema clubs, ping pong tournaments and regular after-work gatherings.
- A subsidised canteen with healthy and delicious lunch options every day.
✅ Exciting team events & workshops
- A summer party with events like concerts, sailing etc.
- A yearly kick-off trip where the whole company gathers for team-building, great food, and fun! Recent destinations include Alicante and Lisbon.
- Workshops and learning sessions with partners like Google, Meta and Microsoft.
- Regular team meetups where we share insights, learn from each other, and invite external experts for inspiration.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a skilled writer who creates content that resonates with audiences and enjoys taking initiative and ownership of their tasks.
You don't need to tick every box on the list below – if this role excites you, we encourage you to apply! We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and will shape the position around the right person.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Are German, Austrian, or come from the German-speaking part of Switzerland and have lived in one of these countries for some time.
- Write compelling and natural German tailored to audiences in the DACH markets. You likely have experience writing quality articles on very diverse topics outside of a purely academic context.
- Have a good visual eye and experience with image editing tools like Photoshop.
- Are thorough and detail-oriented.
- Excel at researching and know how to distinguish reliable sources from poor ones.
- Can simplify complex topics into engaging, accessible content.
- Are a strong communicator, comfortable giving and receiving respectful and constructive feedback.
- Enjoy asking questions and sharing best practices with others to help the team grow together.
- Embrace change and are open to take initiative, test new ideas and experiment with tools like AI to improve workflows and content quality.
Extra points if you:
- Have experience in journalism, communication, PR, marketing or other relevant niches in the German, Austrian, or Swiss (German-speaking) markets.
- Are familiar with SEO, CMS platforms or basic HTML.
- Are comfortable using analytics tools to track, evaluate and optimise content performance.
- Know UX or plain language principles.
Language requirements
- Fluency in German is essential – your writing must be at the level of a professional journalist.
- A relatively good command of English is required to communicate with the rest of the team.
- Knowledge of Norwegian or other Scandinavian/European languages is a bonus, but not necessary.

Excited about this role?
We’d love to hear from you!
Note: If you have expertise in the Austrian, German, or Swiss (German-speaking) markets - but not all three - don’t hesitate to apply! You could still be a great fit.
